Ms. Fit, Full & Fabulous Weight Loss Challenge and
Fashion Fair Extravaganza
Full & Fabulous will present a plus-size/curvy model weight loss challenge and fashion show 1:30-4 p.m. Sun., Nov. 15, at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, 315 E. Warren Ave. in Detroit, Mich.
There are two phases to the day’s show.
Phase 1: Ten women who have spent the past 10 weeks changing their eating habits and making healthier choices will vie for the opportunity of becoming Ms. Fit, Full & Fabulous. The model who lost the most overall weight will become as the winner. The contestants must change their lifestyle, make healthier choices and lose at least 15 pounds to be eligible for the prize package. The winner will win an all-expenses-paid cruise to Nassau, Bahamas, and an opportunity to be featured on an upcoming Full & Fabulous Calendar.
The women meet weekly, on Saturday, to work out with a personal trainer, consult nutritionist from the Detroit Health and Wellness Promotion and share each other’s weekly triumphs on a conference call, every Thursday. The women are judged on most overall weight loss, Swimsuit, Ms. Photogenic, Projection Question, Talent and Personal Interview categories.
Phase II: Ten women are competing for the opportunity to join the Full & Fabulous modeling troupe that will travel the Midwest promoting health, beauty and self-esteem in plus-size women and teens. Professional models from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., New York and Toronto, Canada, will join the show as guest models.

Full & Fabulous is a nonprofit organization that assists overweight girls in coping with the peer pressure of being overweight through personal and professional development, including good lifetime habits such as good nutrition and physical activity.

Full & Fabulous is a non-profit 501c3 organization that assists plus size women and girls in coping with the peer pressure of being overweight and promote lifetime habits of good nutrition and physical fitness. That’s why this year for our annual contribution we are asking our attendees of the fashion show to please bring gently used ,clean, or new clothing, etc sweaters, pants ,shoes, socks and shirts sizes 14 or larger for clothing items and sizes 8 or larger for shoes. So they can be distributed in baskets for full figured women and girls in homeless shelters, this Christmas.
